About the Candidate
- Self-motivated and positive attitude
- Strong leadership, motivational and people skills with previous management experience
- Previous experience working in new businesses/start-ups is a plus
- Previous experience working in a bakery or cafe is ideal, but any hospitality experience is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Able to work flexible shift patterns across a 7-day operational business, including early mornings and some holidays.
- An aesthetic perspective on how to maintain the displays and present the premises and products in an attractive manner, would be a plus.
About the Role
- 40 hours per week, including weekends and some holidays
- Coordinating all the daily operations of the bakery. Including management of the entire team (6-10 people), all facilities and maintenance
- Cash Deposit Preparations (i.e. reconciling discrepancies in any cash receipt functions)
- Delivering superior food & beverage service and maximising customer satisfaction.
- Managing team rosters in line with volume and budget
- Reviewing daily sales targets and providing constructive feedback to the team on improving productivity.
- Reconciliation and recording of purchase orders with invoices and receipts and liaising with suppliers in any discrepancies
- Weekly reporting to the senior team.
- Overseeing training and development of all team members, ensuring all staff are trained in company culture and comply with company policies/procedures.
- Managing team performance through performance reviews
- New venture – comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment required
- Early promotional opportunities that come with a new business.
Experience:
- Manager: 1 year (required)
- Barista: 1 year (preferred)
- Bakery: 1 year (preferred)
